ECU = C-USA Conference Champs

Yesterday was such an amazing day! I went to my very last ECU home football game as a student at ECU, and I was kind of sad at the beginning of the game because I knew I'd never be sitting in the student section at an ECU game again.

However, I wasn't sad for long...because we totally beat Houston, the #18 ranked team in the nation!! AND, we claimed the title of C-USA Conference Champs. AND, we're headed to the Liberty Bowl January 2nd. AND, we're the only team in our conference that has EVER won the conference 2 consecutive years!!

So, while I was bummed that this was my last game...I was totally pumped that my last game was so amazing :)

New Puppy Dog!

Me & Dustin got Bindi Sue a new baby brother. Meet Bruegger boy:




He's the son of Dustin's parents dogs Beau & Fancy. He's a Rat Terrier Feist & very hyper...but he's a sweet boy. We named him after one of our favorite places to eat, Bruegger's Bagels. Plus, we wanted to name him a "B" name, too...like Bindi!

Bindi isn't too thrilled to have a baby brother right now, but I think once he gets a little older she'll grow to love him.

Christmas Time<3

So it's been quite a long time since the last time I blogged. Not a whole lot has changed, except for the last day of classes is on Tuesday and then I'll have 3 exams to go before I can head home for the Christmas<3

Christmas is my favorite time of year. I just love the feeling of joy and happiness I have in my heart during Christmas. I know that sounds cheesy, but it's true! I love Christmas music & decorating. I love Christmas parties, wassail, sausage balls, trash, cheese balls! And I LOVE spending time with my family, playing Monopoly, and falling asleep in front of the fireplace at my grandparent's house. Reading the REAL Christmas story from the Bible, The Polar Express, and The Night Before Christmas with my family before we head to bed. AND...of course I love watching all the Christmas movies that come on TV, especially A Christmas Story and Home Alone! I guess you can say that I'm a Christmas geek. I'm also so excited to see how Jett reacts to his first Christmas! Me, Brittany, Momma, and Daddy played Santa and stood in line for and hour and a half just to get into the Toys 'R' Us on Black Friday to get presents for Jett for his first Christmas. He's going to have a HUGE Christmas...my parents just can't stop buying him presents! But I'm just so thrilled to be a part of his first Christmas. I just love that little boy<3

I am counting down the days til I head home to see my family & my sweet baby nephew that I miss so terribly. [11days]

My dress

I have found THE dress! I am so excited about it!! Tomorrow me, my mom & sister are going to order it then go looking for dresses for my bridesmaids to wear. I would post a picture of my dress but then my fiance would see it & I want it to be a surprise to him and the rest of my guests. Just a month and half longer before our wedding day will be officially a year away!

Hiking with Rattlesnakes

Me & Dustin went hiking today at Morrow Mtn. State Park near Albermarle, NC. We had already made it to the end of the trail and had to turn around to head 2.5 miles back to the car. When we had walked maybe 200 yards back down the trail towards the car we heard an extremely loud rattle. Me, being very cautious all the time in the summer of snakes, took off running with Bindi down the trail yelling "it's a rattlesnake!" Dustin just stood still looking around for the snake and spotted this huge 5 ft rattlesnake sitting coiled up about 15 feet away from the trail. He was about as big around as a grapefruit and not very happy that we were in his territory. I got close enough to zoom in with my video camera to video him but was still a good 20 feet away from him...too afraid to get too close.
